Il Cucchiaio dโArgento, the major Italian cookbook and kitchen reference work originally published in 1950 by Editoriale Domus, approached us with an exciting challenge to rebrand the Social Media, to give a distinctive vibe through their usual social media posts. Our task was to design a toolkit that seamlessly complements the news section while distinctly setting the recipes apart, and develop a news toolkit that complements the recipe toolkit perfectly, while still exuding a distinctive and innovative look & feel through a recognisable layout design and aesthetic.
We embraced this opportunity to create a visual hierarchy where the news takes center stage on the News content. We focused on a strong design that celebrates the essence of culinary delights on the Recipes contents.
Our creative idea came to life through simple yet bold graphics, ensuring a recognition of pop and playfulness. Vibrant colors, eye- catching fonts, and captivating content signatures were carefully curated to engage users.
The iconic spoon logo gracefully makes its mark, harmonizing with captivating wave graphics that add a touch of dynamism. Our strategy has been to introduce the brand logo within the social mediaโs design, both for Stories and Postsโ content, to give to users the brand iconicity and recognition.
Drawing inspiration from the extensive palette defined for the news toolkit, made of a combination of orange, pink and green, we introduced an exquisite indigo color as a unique identifier for Recipes.
The use of pastel tones brings the overhead photographs to life, creating a visual symphony that’s sure to tease taste buds and captivate readers. Each Recipe is elegantly encapsulated within a circular frame, showcasing its delectable essence in a visually striking manner.
